Potentially Big Spoiler about a character.

Postby DarthLocke on Thu Oct 28, 2010 12:20 am

As some may know Back to the Future actor Christopher Lloyd is making a guest appearance in an upcoming episode when Fringe returns this fall, but what Mr. Lloyd also revealed about his episode is also some very well welcome news! :D

Lloyd then mentioned that he will be soon filming an episode of Fringe. Lloyd’s casting (in the tenth episode of the current season) as a musical icon and hero of Walter Bishop on Fringe was reported last week, and included in the latest TrekMovie Sci-Fi TV update. However, Lloyd then made some news, revealing that Leonard Nimoy would be joining him in the same episode of Fringe, reprising his role as William Bell. The audience, to say the least, was very enthusiastic about that information and it was exciting news generated at the convention.

Leonard Nimoy last appeared in May, in the the season two finale of Fringe, and at the time he stated it would be his last role, not only on Fringe, but as an actor. However, Nimoy has sometimes noted that he has learned to "never say never", so it appears (if his health allows) that he will be back on Fringe again.

:( I love Christopher Lloyd but why say this if if wasn't true?? I hope his appearance on Fringe is good because nothing can top Nimoy being William Bell.

That's too bad. However I don't know if I buy the show runners statement either. If Nimoy were to return, I would think they wanted it to be a surprise...but maybe it's not Nimoy that will be along side Lloyd, but William Bell---we still haven't seen Sam Weiss either- And Sam (or rather the easter egg stating not to trust him) is something they made this big point out of in the finale-which is also the episode when Bell dies. (--or does he?)

Was a Shame about this.

Although, majorly excited to have Christopher Lloyd on the show soon! Gonna be good! :)

We will have to hold our breaths...

I just don't think CL would lie about that and then on season 2 DVD commentaries they mention there is a story to tell left for William Bell, IF Nimoy would ever wish to return....

Yeah, that's been picked up in a few outlets. From DigitalSpy:
Leonard Nimoy has revealed that he could soon return to Fox sci-fi drama Fringe.

The Star Trek actor announced on Twitter that he is in talks to reprise his role as genius scientist William Bell in a future episode.

He wrote: "Plans developing for a William Bell return to Fringe. Stay tuned."

Bell was previously killed off in the show's second season finale. However, Nimoy previously hinted that the character's demise might not be final, while producer Jeff Pinkner admitted that he has "another story in mind [for William Bell]".

Last April, Nimoy announced that he was retiring from acting following his exit from Fringe.

if there are an infinte number of universes, one for each subtle difference, then it stands to reason, there's going to be more william bells...could another universe be affected by walters dimension hopping? coudl their belly decide to get involved?
You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don't
owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to
put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission,
don't even start asking for theirs.

That would be cool too! Of course for all we know the red William Bell could still exist and/or our William Bell just traveled in time-space when he helped boost the particle accelerator.

New Video Teases and Seems to Imply Nimoy Return for 3x19!!!!!

Now I still think he will appear as other people [like Olivia's Step Father]--hence why they keep using the word "form", but I hear his voice at the end of this promo with words I have never heard him say--so maybe Nimoy does a voice over through out the episode????
