First time poster here. What if Janis in not the mole? Maybe she knows something about Simon or doesn't trust him so she's told him that she's the mole to gain his trust. "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"

First of all.. Welcome to the boards Star  ...

And withstanding the pleasantries, While you have a good idea, I am not that optimistic that TPTB of the show are that clever. If it were LOST writers, than I would say "maybe". But with the deficient writing that I personally have seen so far, I strongly doubt they would have thought about such a twist...

Unless they read it here!!!

I seriously wish there would be another twist like that, since Janis was one of the two characters I liked from the beginning, and I seriously hate that one of those characters I was actually invested in was just ruined.

Maybe they will write her a good "mole story" but I have to agree with everyone, it ruins everything we have seen about her thus far

No offense, but this would be horrible. As if the first twist wasn't cheap enough.. The whole twist concept is to surprise/catch the audience off guard. If a twist ends with "Just kidding" I'd feel even more cheated than I did in the first place.

Why would she tell Simon that she's a mole unless she suspects he's involved way more than he's admitting. She would do that because she needs to gain his trust. Either she is a mole and wants to join with him OR, she's not a mole but needs to get close to him hoping that he will slip and give himself away. It's a valid tactic. But as SmokeyD said above, maybe TPTB aren't that clever.

Simon is obviously hiding his involvement with whatever group "his uncle" worked for. I think she revealed herself to him just to let him know that "They" (Whoever "His Uncle" was working with) are still watching him.

I just wish TPTB had picked a different mole in this case. She was the only one that was starting to like on the show. Now they are pretty much dead to me.

And don't even get me started on that beotch Olivia :censored:...

Guys, please don't hate me all for saying this, but I think we all (I include me here, so this is not a bad thing) should take a break with the negative comments towards FF. I actually still like watching the show and I have a nice time, even though it's more flawded than anything I watch (Heroes is the exception, but it's not even on anymore), but I think people who actually watch the show and like are getting almost affraid of coming here and commenting because we all talk about it as the worst thing in the word. As I've said before, to me the main issue with this show is that some retarded guy decided to announce it as the next lost, so it doomed the show. If I had just find it by chance, I would be happy with it because I wouldn't have had any sort of expectation and would be going just for the ride, because I simply do not expect Lost at every corner of my tv:P So please, do not get offended with my comment, I know we all have the right to express our opinion, whether it's bad or not, but I feel like we've been doing noting but complaining about the same things all over again, I feel sorry for people who actually want to come here and express something they like about it, it's not a nice environment! Sorry again if I ofended you, it's not my intention to be bossy or anything

You didn't offend me one bit! I completely see what you're saying it's just... okay, it's not like I enjoy bashing the show. I really want to like it. I love the premise, some (one) of the characters (Simon) and think it has huge potential to be fantastic. I keep looking for things to like and I plan to watch it until the series ends, but honestly, I just get more and more turned off despite the second half of the season being better. I do enjoy the show for what it is, and when it's not being 'good' it's usually laughable. Literally. So it's still entertaining on some level.

I just wish I could actually like this show, but each week they tell me why I can't. Sorry...

I don't mind the show. I find the premise of it interesting, and it's definitly better than a lot of things on tv right now. As you said, the connection and comparison to Lost was no a good idea, because let's face it nothing can compare.

I confess to being one who comes out pretty strong about the show in general. And I think it's more that I get frustrated at what should/could be a really great show, but TPTB seem to not want to go the distance...

I watch it, and I agree that TPTB never should have tried to compare themsleves to LOST initially, and while they have tried to back away from this comparisson as of late... the damage has been done.

If they can get their collective track going this can be a great show. We were almost all in agreement that 1.11 & 1.12 were really well done. And it gives me hope that TPTB can turn things around...

Glad you understand what I tried to say. And I totally take your points that it is veru difficult not to complain, not only because of the whole Lost comparison that gave us big expectations, but also because the premise of the show is a great one so you are always expecting to get more from it than you actually get. I only said what I said because I felt this forum was getting a bit too hostile to people who truly appreciate the show for what is is, nothing more :)

Understanding is easy, I guess the way that I see it is more along the lines of perspective. When FF started, TPTB tried their darndest to tie the show to LOST, and probably in an attempt to gather LOST followers. And so then I tried to watch it with the same scrutiny as I do LOST... and hence the disappoinment.

Take another show... 'Chuck' for example, if you tried to watch Chuck with the same eye that you put on LOST, you could end up disappointed. But the point is that Chuck never... ever.. tried to claim the LOST throne. And I think Chuck is wonderful, and I enjoy ever episode.

TPTB at FF painted themselves into a corner. The show has a great premise, and there is so much they could do with it. It just pains me that you can have so many really good actors, but watching them trip over bad writing, and awkward dialogue... it can be unsettling in the least.

I will never question anyones opinion as to what they do or do not like. But with all of that said, the ratings for FF have been sliding significantly. And TPTB at ABC have already said that it will be a choice between FF & V. So in that respect I have to throw my two cents on "V"...
