Looking for A good and uplifting movie

Postby Mellow on Sun Aug 01, 2010 6:43 pm

The past days I have watched way to many movies. Mostly the classic one's like Memento, Oldboy, TSR, Gran Torino etc. but also more recent movies like Remember me or Mine Vaganti. The thing is. All these movies were amazing and i really loved them but they were all so depressing in a way. Now I wan't a good and uplifting movie. But i'm not looking some 0815 hollywood. just something with a great story but still with bright humour and an ending that's not totally dark and hopeless!

Requiem for a Dream... okay no, but watch all of Pixar's movies if you want a series of nice movies (though they can be a bit sad in their beginnings, especially UP). Those are usually very joyful and uplifting.

Toy story 3 is also meant to be quite emotional in some places. . . .Im afraid to watch it because i loved the franchise. I dont wanna see it end, or any of them to die or something !!! :(

Dear god people, some of these req's are amongst the most depressing films I've ever seen...

Requiem for a Dream especially, with Lost in Translation as a close second.

I don't really know any uplifting films, though. Or at least, any that I'd recommend.

You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don't
owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to
put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission,
don't even start asking for theirs.
