Hii people I am a HUGE DH fan and I think we all should talk about it more,
because it's a GREAT, classic, solid show who deserves lots op posts

I know this is a long read, and I don't expect such long reactions, just wanted to post it for fun :D

I wanna hear what sorylines you liked
and those you didn't

I''ll start:

"but on 2:26 that afternoon, a TORNADO came to Wisteria Lane, bringing with it-imassive destruction" :w00t:
-I loved it!! The whole episode, from beginning to end! I loved the Edie and Gaby fight, we learned more about Katherine and her husband's Chicaco secret, and she and Bree really bonded there :) The tornado stuff was EPIC, and the cliffhanger with Lynette was a TOTAL SHOCK!! I knew none of those kids would die(unfortenatly) but still, EPIC!!

"Lynette: 'There's a phedopile living on our street and this cop is making me the bad guy!" :scared:
-That was a total shock. The way they showed it was brilliant. First, they show that he probarbly is one, then I started to doubt it and feel sorry for him, expecially his sister, and at list the big reveal that he indeed was gave me chills and a horrendous gut feeling brrrr but I loved it! Felicity Huffman KILLED it, men she was great! I alsways thought that creep might come back...that would be even more SHOCKING!!

"If there was one thing Gabrielle knew, it was that she would never have children"
- I guess they backed out after 4 seasons, but I don't mind!! At firts, I hated them but after a couple of episodes I realised what a brilliant move this was. They make much effort showing how HUGE those children are compared to Eva Longoria and that makes it HIGHlarious!! I almost like every scene with them and Gaby in it, expecially when Gaby is rude or completely ignores them....

Susan, MJ, Mike and the bike (oh, and jackson)
Teri Hatcher at her best!!! Hysterical, she nailed it! Funny ass hell, expecially the way she instructed Mj to fake fall-loved it!

"My name is Bree van de Kamp, and I 'm an alcoholic" ( Rex's aftermath)
-Wow how she fell down! when McClusky found her PASSED OUT on the lawn...oh my! I thought Bree had the best storyarc in season 2...from the first episode where she sickly changed Rex's tie...while he was death, at his funeral! The reactions from the rest of the gang was priceless, those looks :w00t: To the last where she went on "a nice spa vacation!" uhm meaning the Looney house :scared: I liked most of her stuff with Andrew too, but I like them even more now :D

-BRILLIANT episode, perfectly edited, acted and directed…it was a huge “quality injection” in season 3-wich was much needed in my opinion. Felicity Hufman killed it once again, Teri was great and finally, finally, they put the bulled in the most annoying character in the history of television: NORA. More on her below, in the “not likey” section..:D I thought Gaby and Carlos’s fight scenes were cool as well, nice comic relief between all the horror :D

“There’s a SERIAL KILLER on the lane!”
-yes, it was dragged out to long and who it was in the end was kinda lame but still….not knowing who he was, the end of 601 were Julie got strangled (DIE!!! YES! Meh, she lives) was a total shocker, and I like it when the Housewives could get in danger….I don’t want them dying, but I love the soapy sick twisted storylines :D The “Eddy”episode was nice as well, and poor Lynette, she’s been through the most 

“I killed my child”
-the season 4 finale….I didn’t see that coming! Dana Delany was perfect, this was really her best episode by far. Her reaction when she finds her little girl dead under the closet was amazing, a simple “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH” did the job, and it was great! Poor women. Katherine was at her best in season 4 :D

“Susan had met the enemy, and she was a slut”
Edie, RIP. I really miss her. Those first episode with them fighting over Mike, the whole “I ‘m so sorry for you, FYI!!”was funny as hell!! Those facial expressions of Nicolette Sheridan are priceless, expecially when she is plotting something or bitching about Susan…”you got my daughter the pill??!!” haha the way she walked fast, away from Susan across the street just so juicy and awesome :D :D

the affair with Carlos, the crabs, her putting on a nurse outfit, the way she lied to the police about Victor’s whereabouts, him finding out I loved it! My Lord Eva Longoria is gooooooooood!!

“And I was desperate once again”
I really liked the season 1 mystery, expecially the finale, I thought Paul had killed that deirde chick! Breda Strong this a nice job in that one, and I really wanted to know how it all went down :D

“Gaby and sister Mary, the nurse from Hell”
HIGHlarious! The catfight in the church, the way she was jealous of her, the nurse being on fire, Gaby being paranoid, Mary leaving and coming back…I loved it!

“There will be no more poker/Susan sextips nights for you!!”
Haha when Jackson kissed Susan on the ear, she realizing he got tips from Mike, very funny!

Obviously, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Bob and Lee, great new impuls to the show and they are really funny! Very dry, very bitchy I want more!

There are so many but I wanna get in on the bad stuff :D :D

The Bad:

Orson’s storylines.
I like the character, but boy does he gets ridiculous arcs. With the stealing, sudden sleep walking, boring “is he a killer no it’s his annoying mum” saga, him being in a wheelchair….pff enough already!! I love him as a side kick to Bree, he is funny ass hell with his one liners, but I don’t want him getting huge arcs. Luckily for me, he’s out. They ruined him!

The Applewhites:
Oh my god what a boring, predictable mystery. I didn’t care much for them, and we knew what was going on the second episode we saw them. LAME!! I kinda like Betty, but she didn’t get much to do so I wasn’t really invested. And the twist that his brother did it was sooo not exciting, I didn’t care at all!

Mike and his coma:
Him not remembering Susan, being with Edie, boring and dragged out too long. Mike can be very annoying some times, I’m kinda sick of him being tied to every mistery on the show, enough already!!

Gaby and that annoying rich Sugar Granny:
Oh my lord 3 episodes of that annoying women….I liked the actress in “Six Feet Under” but this was just terrible…lame, “go away, or just die!”stuff…Gaby should have left her in that:

FIRE!! “More devastating then the Tornado!!”:
What can I say? That club fire was LAME!!! They said it would be bigger than the tornado, so I was expecting a lot, all we got was yes, a big fire but what a boring episode!! Edie’s house on fire in season 1 was more exiting!

David Williams:
Another “mistery” we knew the answer to in the episode it was introduced, I HATE THAT!! I didn’t like Dave, and the way all characters except Mclusky and her sister just didn’t question him was very annoying. What the hell? He forced himself on everyone, and they were all blind after 4 seasons of weird neigbours…..bad mystery, and I got kinda mad when I heard that their original plan was to let Dave kill MJ in that car crash, but the actor, being a very good Christian or something(wtf??) talked them out of it! Oke, I love MJ and I don’t want him hurt but could you imagine the impact it would have on the show? All these terrible things happen, but they all seem to forget it after 2 episodes….killing a child would give the show some new sick depth…

Lynette and the bacon eating:
Disgusting!! Ieeeeeeeeelllllllllllllll!!!!

Katherine having a breakdown:
I like that she went nuts in the beginning, but it got ridiculous very fast….they took it too far in my opinion, too bad cause Katherine was a great character  I did like the lesbian stuff though!

The whole Olga Hodge, Alma Hodge snoozefest:
Talk about annoying!! Really hated them. The “who’s Monique’s killer”arc had potential, but got uninteresting really fast. And they way they wrote it was all over the place….they changed the outcome of the mystery mid-season because they loved Kyle (Orson) and it really showed….bad writing I say.

The Bolens:
Again, great potential and I really like Drea de Mateo, but they could have done so much more. Yes, the scar got me exited but it never really got suspenseful, until the last episode. She could have interacted with the other Housewives more, more scenes would have been nice. We never really got to know her, all she said were some vague lines about the mystery. I know they want to keep us guessing, but come on. Drea was great when she got mad at that neighbour, and kicked all the garbage’s cans ninja style, but what the hell? All of the sudden she’s this activist with concern for the environment? If they showed she cared for that more before that, it would have been even more great

The Ugly:

Nora, Kyla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Words can not describe how much I hated them. That Nora chick was damn ugly and I wanted her dead. Ugh the way she talked to Lynette, she was just made for us to hate her guts and it worked! Same for Kyla, glad she’s gone :D disgusting how she threaded Lynette, I felt really sorry for her and I wanted it to stop! GO AWAY!!!!

Susan and her ways every now and then
(I love her, hear me out) In my opinion, she can be the most annoying of all the Housewives. Nagging, clumsy out of control…. And I ‘m worried about Teri hatchers face  She almost looks Asian now. And her upper lip looked weird in the season 6 finale, I really need her to look good :D

I also don’t like how it seems as they are making it up as they go along. Expecially the mystery parts, they switch outcomes every 4 episodes in my opinion. They give us vague clues that could go ANYWHERE, and outcomes we couldn’t have guessed in a million years. It goes both ways: we know what it is right from the start (Dave saga, Applewhites) or we don’t care, have some suspicion and then it turns out it’s something we COULD NOT have guessed ( Eddy the strangler, Caleb’s brother)

Mmm there’s sooooooooooo much more but I can’t type anymore haha

Great post!

I'd agree S1 had the strongest season mystery arc, and the rest have all paled in comparison. And you're so right about Mike being the centre of every mystery & therefore finale! S6 it was nice to just not have Mike as the focus of attention!

Season 2 Bree was DEFINITELY Bree's best :) I love love loved when she broke out of the mental institute to go save Danielle. She was awesome :D Made her my favourite character. Unfortunately, she has gone downhill, especially in S5+6. I hope she get's better storylines in the future.

I must say Gaby really rocked S6. She was my favourite of the housewives this past season, whereas before she'd always been my least fav.

BANG! was definitely incredible, easily one of the best episodes of DH ever!! The Tornado was good, but wasn't quite as good as Bang. The fire and the plane crash, both disappointing compared to the previous two.

You're so right about Susan/Teri Hatcher too. She looks ill and deathly tired most of the time.

It's a shame DH has gone downhill so much. I'd rank DH's first season better than Lost's 5th season. Season 2 was great, and 3+4 were good. But it's gone rather downhill from there, IMO.

Still good, but not AMAZING as it was.

thanks for the comment, from a moderater I feel honoured!!

I agree that DH went downhill after season 2, but it's still awesome :D

They need to get rid of Mike imo!! I hope he isn't tied to the season 7 mystery, that would be lame. And if he is staying, at least give him another wardrobe!! He always wears the same shirt, why? I also need the mysteries to be better worked out, they should know the entire thing before airing, not change it along the way because it shows that they go different directions...The best mysteries where Season 1 and 4. Season 2 and 5 were the worst, mystery-wise. Season 6 had potential, but went nowhere

They also should more scenes with the ladies together, I love it when their storylines collide, way better then all their seperate stuff.
Spoiler (Click to reveal/hide)
I think Vanessa Williams will be a great addition to the show, let's hope she isn't tied to the main mystery, and if she is, let it be a good, epic, shocking one!!

I don't know what's going on with Teri, but it needs to be fixed haha "she looks ill"lol

Gaby is my favorite Housewife too :D
She's funny, always at her best, and gives the show much needed lightness :D
I loved almost every storyline of her, expecially when she's out of money or something. But I was happy when glamout Gaby came back! Finally, it became a little depressing haha

Bree should be single next season, we can't have them all happy, that's boring, and I don't want one of the others to break up. So Bree should just get her own adventures or maybe flirting with a new hot neighbour? WOuld be AWESOME!!!

Well, I'm a huge DH fan, same as you :D

Agreed on the mysteries... we get too much info right at the beginning usually, that there is no real mystery come the end of the season as we pretty much have worked it out.

Yes, I can't wait for the new person either (see the spoiler section :) )!!

That picture is so hideodious!!

As for a fav housewife, overall it would have to be Bree or Lynette. It's only in Season 6 that she's really stood ahead of the pack, IMO. :)

ooh I forgot this: I kinda hate it that none of them Housewives represents a happy, single women! I know the show is called Desperate Housewives, but come on, there are a lot of ways to be desperate without a man, even more! It's almost as if they want to show that women can't be happy without men, it's kinda true in a way, but still.
Whatever happened with being single and fabulous?

Wow great posts freddy! Though I have to disagree with you on 1 point: Dave Williams and his storyline was awesome! (but I guess I'm not objective since I love that actor) Oh and Lynette is def. my favourite because she reminds me of my own mom :)

Yeah okay, I agree I figured out who he was and what he wanted in the beginning of the season so I guess they could have handled that mystery better

I'm on a rewatch now and I have to say the Season 3 mystery is pretty decent.

The only problem was, they had to resolve it early because Marcia Cross ( ) was on maternity leave and so the rest of the season suffered slightly without that mystery and intrigue.

yeah, and they changed the mystery outcome mid-season. They wanted Orson to be the killer, but changed it to his mom because everyone lovedddddddddddddddddd Kyle!

season 4 had the best mystery!

Season 4? Really? I'd say Season 1.

There wasn't really much of a mystery was there? The Katherine/Dylan story was ok but... *shrug*

Desperate Housewives is a great show and I've watched it from the beginning, just don't ask questions season by season, it all muddles together to me. Season 1 was great, I would say Bree was my favorite Housewife, becouse she prim and proper but when she loses it, she really loses it. I didn't like the jump forward 5 years, I thought the show was fine as it was. I was also dissapointed Idie and Katherine left the show (although Katherines obsession with Mike got annoying) I thought the Dave Williams storyline had a great build up but a disappointing climax. I think Teri Hatcher is looking a little ill, espeially on the promo poster and I was a bit dissappointed Susan's fashion sense changed so much over the seasons, she was more normal dressed in season 1 but now she seemed to have glamed up.
