The only thing stopping me using it fulltime is that there are some extensions with Firefox that I really need to run the site with.. But it's now my main browser for general surfing.

But...it is so shiny....

And you know, just the beta is already better than IE7. That helps xD

IE8 does show some promise, it's a bit faster but still not as fast as FF or Chrome. And it's not Open Source and has very little addons etc. I'll bet in 5 years time IE will be the 2nd or 3rd most popular browser as Businesses move away from the preinstalled IE.

I worked at Harvard University for awhile, and instead of MS Office, we used Mozilla Thunderbird. So it's true that some companies are moving away from the standard MS suite of products.

There is already a update to Chrome in the about Google chrome section. Just go to about under the tools and it will check for the update. Nothing noticeable, but for those of you who like every small update hit it up.

Ohhhh! It has spell checker in it now. YAY! Mine didn't have it before.

Yeah, still no scrolling wheel :(

BUT my spell checker works now. Before the words were highlighted, but right click didn't give me the corrections, now it does. That's the only noticeable thing so far. Nice to see they had an update, just wish it was auto, or notified me. I just happened to find it when I hit the about section.

It's not the OS, it is the laptop's mouse drivers. For example, Synaptics (the one I have), doesn't work.

But only in the touchpad, the regular Windows mouse drivers work (as I also use an USB mouse.)

It doesn't scroll up with the touchpad but works with a mouse. I haven't used it much since I DLed it, but I prefer FF. It's good though.

I'm on a desktop but I am using a wireless mouse which means it must be the driver. Makes sense now.

PLEASE FIX THIS GOOGLE
